A Typical Day for Lily (Week 47 & 48)

"First I wake up and eat my breakfast."

"Then I cry a little 'cause I don't like mixed wheat cereal with apple flakes. But I can smile through my tears so I guess it's not THAT bad."

"Sometimes nice people like Auntie Camille come over for a visit and I *ask* them to push me in the glider rocker."

"When we have no visitors, I *ask* mommy to do the same...."

"Hmmmm...what else can I *ask* people to do for me???"

"When mommy is in the kitchen baking, I used to inspect the cupboards to make sure everything is still in there. But more recently, the doors won't open....hmmm....I think daddy did something to keep me out, but I really don't understand why...I'm sure it was a mistake."

"When I'm done in the kitchen, I go and find dangly things to pull on....like the camera cord."

"Dinnertime! I have discovered that shaved turkey breast is very, very yummy! I am very good at shoving handfulls of it into my mouth. I can even get my whole hand into my mouth. Mommy doesn't seem to like it when I do that. Maybe it's cause it usually makes me throw up."

"After dinner I look around the house for more things to do. I have found that tearing up tissues is a most excellent way to pass a half-an-hour."

"My work here is complete!! My day is done :)"

Grandma Berta & Uncle Adam Visit! (Week 46)

"Grandma Berta brought me a new toy!!"

"Uncle Adam's knee is a very nice place to sit. Especially since it helps me reach his salad better, so I can pick the cheese from it."

"Wheeee!!! Goin' on the aquabus with Grandma Berta and mommy!"

"I told Grandma how much I liked the ride!"

"I also made Grandma laugh when we were eating dinner. I can't remember exactly what I said, but I am sure it was very clever."

"Grandma and I talked to Eyore together."

"I tried to talk to Uncle Adam, too, but it was difficult with a ball in my mouth."

"Leopard on your head...I'm starting a new fashion trend."

"Hi Grandma! I like it when you push me on the swing!"

"OK, you can stop so mommy can take a picture....but then you have to keep pushing me again, K?"

"I know you want me to eat my cereal. But can't you see....I've got an alligator in my mouth! I like my alligator. He recently moved from the bathroom where he used to live into the living room."

"Thank you for sharing my pain, Grandma! I just don't like Mr. Turtle as much as my alligator."

"Why is Grandma saying giddey up? I am not a horse."

It's a lovely day for a walk!

The stroller suits Uncle Adam :)

See? He's a natural.

Lily is very interested in Uncle Adam's Blackberry. It's only a matter of time before she gets her own, I suppose. Aaack!

Lily gets a front row seat at the Aquarium in the downstairs beluga whale viewing area.

She does not appear to appreciate the quality of her view, however, as she appears to be completely unaware of the giant whale swimming towards her.

We're not sure whether or not Lily recognizes herself in reflective surfaces, but she certainly does spend a lot of time laughing at the baby in the mirror.

It's Uncle Adam's turn to push Lily on the swings one evening.

Clearly, she thinks he is doing a pretty good job.

She is very sad, however, when it is time to go home.

Very, VERY sad.

We end the photo shoot with a little game of "Pass the Lily." It's the next big thing.

Fun Things to Do (Week 44 & 45)

"The dingle duck is no longer amusing me...can you please find something else to entertain me?"

"No, no.....I'm still not impressed."
