Mommy & Daddy's Little Helper

Daddy and Lily enjoy their morning beverages together every day.

Daddy throws Lily a sponge so she can help clean up the milk she spilled.

At first she just kind of laughs at the flying sponge...

...but in the end, she is an excellent little cleaner!!

She also finds a way to us space more efficiently by putting her little boots inside of mommy's ginormous size 10 boots.

Good job, Lily!!

Now that mommy is getting bigger every day, Lily helps out by propping her up from behind.

She also likes to rearrange the toiletries on the bathroom counter. Due to her size limitations she has to stand on the toilet to do this.

"See, mommy, I am helping you!!"

Lily also helps mommy care for the beautiful basket of flowers she and daddy brought home for Mother's Day. She is a most excellent helper.

Playtime!

Lily often makes her own fun at naptime.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all get so much enjoyment out of grabbing our toes? Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all grab our toes??

Lily's first experience with hail.

She loved it!

"Hi daddy! Did you notice me sneaking up behind you, hoping you would notice me?"

"Oh you did! You DID notice me!!"

"I don't know what this game is called, but it is great!!"

Luckily for Lily, she never did figure out how to turn the water on.

She settled instead for rearranging the bath products. She likes to have everything nicely organized.

Well, everything except her toys, that is!!

One of the newest games is "throw the stuffed animals over the baby gate so mommy and daddy have to keep hopping over it to get them." Mommy and daddy do not enjoy this game as much as Lily does.

After awhile, daddy just sat on the other side of the gate and threw them back over every time they *escaped*.

Lily was cool with this modified version of the game.

Especially since it meant that Eeyore and giraffe learned how to fly!

Painting Fun!

Saturday morning - a great time to paint!!

Lily selects her colours...

...puts her smock on and tests out the paint's consistency...

...mixes up a few different colours to get juuust the right shade...

...and finally begins! Lily is very serious about her art :)

The Diaper Cream Debacle

One day in May daddy went to retrieve Lily from her bedroom where she had been playing by herself for a few minutes, and as soon as he got there he yelled "Bring the camera, quick!" and mommy knew that what she would find would probably require some work to clean up. She was right!!

Lily had "found" the diaper cream. It wasn't really lost. But she found it anyway.

Lily doesn't like having messy hands or messy fingers, so of course she had to find somewhere to smear the cream. She figured her face would do the trick nicely.

Once it was gone from her hands, she decided she needed more so she went back to the scene of the crime....

...and deposited it on the front of her top this time....

...oh, and in her eyes too...

...and on the floor.

It took a bit of scrubbing to get the oil-based cream off her face, but at least she had fun while we were cleaning up.

Easter Celebration with Baba

Just strollin' in the playground...casually looking for something to do...

"Oh look! I got Baba to push me on the swing!"

"There's only one thing that's better than ridin' the range on my grey stallion..."

..."ridin' the range with daddy!"

The Easter Bunny makes a second appearance in honour of Baba's visit.

...and pick them up too...

Opening the eggs requires an extreme amount of concentration.

Lily works very hard taking all the shiny eggs out of the plastic eggs...

...and then putting them all back in again. It is a very labour intensive process.

Lily convinces Baba to push her on the swings again later that day. She can be very persuasive.

Lily gets Baba to push her higher...

...higher...

...highest!!!
