Mommy and Lily flew to Calgary on the Thanksgiving long weekend to stay with Great Auntie Nel and Great Uncle John. Baba & Grampa Hunter and Great Baba & Great Gido all came to stay too. We had a great time! Lily was pretty excited to see everybody when we got there on Friday afternoon, and was also pretty thrilled with the menu...she ate very well all weekend :)

After dinner, Lily wondered - "Oooh...is there more food coming?"

"Oh I see..it's a birthday cake just for me!!"

"Chocolate! Yummmmmm!"

"Num num num num."

"Ahhh...a nightcap. Thank you Grampa!"

"I take that back. Why do you adults like that stuff?"

Lily liked to entertain everyone in the morning at the breakfast table. Happy dances were common.

Lily shakes her booty.

"Hi Great Gido! I really like morning hugs. I hope you do too."

Great Baba helps Lily with her walking. They did lots and lots of laps of the house!

Lily and Great Uncle John have a little conversation. We're not sure what it's about, but they seem to know.

"Great Gido, I like sitting with you on the couch."

Lily spent a fair bit of time building *stuff*. And taking it apart. And then building more stuff.

Lily got her first baby doll for her birthday. The first thing she did was poke the baby's eyes and then her nose. But she eventually figured out where the soother goes, and patted the doll's head. We were glad to see her being nice to baby :)

"Look what I can do, Great Gido! Thank you for bringing me to the park. The swings are one of my favourite things to play on."

"Grampa Hunter, Simon says touch your nose!"

"Look Great Baba! I can walk with books! In both hands!"

"Ahhh. Baba's lap is a nice place to be in the morning."

"And Grampa Hunter's is a nice place to be in the afternoon."

We're trying to take a family shot with Great Uncle John and Great Auntie Nel. Lily is a little obsessed with her feet at the moment.

Time to go home. Mommy and Lily are a little bit sad to say goodbye after our wonderful visit.
