Mommy and Lily flew to Winnipeg January 1st to visit Grandma Berta. Lily was very excited to see Grandma, and was thrilled with all the toys at her house!

Lily took her scooter for a little spin. She stopped in the kitchen to knock over a few empty yogurt containers. Apparently this was a very fun game.

She also invented another really cool game that involved putting your shoes and your socks on your head.

Oh, and lets not forget the game where you put the little stuffed tiger inside your top :)

Mommy thought she was so smart putting her cel phone on top of the microwave so it would be out of Lily's reach. She underestimated Lily's problem solving skills.

Grandma and Lily had dance parties every day. Grandma even dug out her psychedelic pants from the 80's for these little jam sessions.

Grandma has very small feet, so Lily thought she would try on her shoes.

They didn't fit perfectly, but Lily enjoyed stomping around in them.

Time to go outside. Why do you look so, uh, reticent Lily? It's only -35?!?!?!

We told her she would have lots of fun in the snow, but Lily was not convinced. This was an understatement.

Once outside, however, after surveying the landscape for a few minutes, Lily dove right in...

...and smooshed the snow around with her hands.

But the best part of being outside was the OUTDOOR scooter. Cool!

Lily had red cheeks after coming in from outside. Even though she had lots of fun in the snow, she was happy to be warm again, and was ready for a very long nap.

"But Grandma, I don't really feel like eating right now."

"OK well maybe just a little..."

"...or maybe a lot. I forgot how much I like food."

"You're a great lunch partner, Grandma!"

Lily decided her feet needed to be free, so she invented a strategy for pulling both socks off at the same time.

"Ohai!"

We thought it would be cute if we took a picture of Lily with mommy's earmuffs on. Lily disagreed.

Thank you Grandma Berta, for a wonderful visit. We had a great time with you!!
She is sooooo cute. I can't wait to meet her. I applied for a week-long stint in Vancouver. We'll see if I get chosen to go. I'll keep you posted. I can't believe you subjected her to the harsh Wpg winter! LOL. It is horrible, isn't it?Bet you were glad to get to the mild winters of BC huh? Talk soon....
