Baba & Grampa Hunter Visit Vancouver

June 28, 2012 - Baba & Grampa Hunter come to Vancouver.  Amelia wakes up from her nap and says "Hello!"

"Thank you for helping me practice my walking, Baba!"

"And thank you for trying to fix my walker for me Grampa Hunter..."

"...and for letting me "play" with the screwdriver."

Amelia - our little "Pebbles", "Fountain-Head" or "Sprinkler-Head" (just some of the nicknames fondly given to her by our friends and neighbours).

Corn - fun to play with, difficult to eat.

Lily is excited to come home from school so she can:

1) jump onto Grampa's lap;

2) take pictures of the family with Daddy's camera;  and,

3) read books on Baba's lap.

Amelia loses another fight with the spaghetti monster.

"Grampa, this is called Row, Row, Row Your Boat.  I rock back and forth violently on your lap until the end where I jump up high and land hard on your lap, crushing your legs.  It's lots of fund."

More walking practice!

Amelia tries to launch herself off the changetable.  Good thing we'll be knocking down this half wall and putting up sliding doors soon.

Lily and Amelia ride the Daddy Dylan bus.

Mommy and Baba take Amelia to the park one afternoon.

She is thrilled a) to have bare feet;  and, b) to be standing at the structure with the big kids.

Mommy and Amelia take a slide ride together.

"Look, Mommy, one hand!"

Amelia is all smiles as she waits for the elevator after a successful shopping trip with Mommy and Baba.

"Hi Baba!  Thanks for coming to pick me up at school."

"Can you please just wait a sec while I finish eating this sand?"

"Hi Grampa!"

"Want to play with my friend Eeyore?"

"I'm too sexy for my shades."

Scary face or silly face?  We're not sure.

Lily demonstrates some of her ballet skills.

"Hehehehehehehehehe"

Lily and Baba color while we wait for our breakfast order to arrive at White Spot.

"Mommy I'm hungreeeeeee."

The girls play with Grampa while Mommy finishes her breakfast.

"Hi Grampa.  I like your glasses!"

Four adults and two little people with very happy tummies.

One baba and two granddaughters with happy hearts :)

:)

Amelia is puzzled by what to do with Lily's Play Doh containers.  Untile she realizes she can roll them.

"I figured it out!!"

Lily goes swimming with Baba!

"Look at us in the hot tub!"

Hair combing time after bath.

Lily does her puzzle with Baba before bed.

Lily goes shopping with Baba to buy Daddy a special treat.  Candy that Lily picked out herself.  Those two are like two peas in a pod.

Amelia's unimpressed look.  She is  hungry.  Her bib says so.  Yet her highchair tray remains empty.  "Mom and Dad, get with the program!!"

Amelia resorts to mooching food from her sister.

All that effort tires her out, so she has a little nap on Baba.

"Look what I can do!"

Amelia has had a hard day so far.  She takes a break while Baba looks on.

"Time to play some more!  Happy to be back at the playground."

"This time on a walk with Baba..."

"...and Grampa!"

Family dinner-time!  The only thing better is...

Family dessert-time!

"Ooooooh....."

"Oooooooooooh...."

More playtime in the pool!  You can never go to the pool often enough.  Or stay long enough.  This is according to Lily.

"Baba, you and Grampa have to come back again soon so we can have some more fun!"
