Lily Posing for the Camera

Lily contemplates some of life's more challenging questions.

Lily's tiny feet.

"Wow daddy, your foot is big. And hairy."

"I has a toe."

"I has a finger."

"I still has a finger."

"It's a tough life."

An interesting sleeping position.

An even more interestingt sleeping position. Her arms are straight up in the air. How is that even possible?

Daddy finds a nice spot on the couch in which to wedge the pink burrito for her nap. Here is an aerial view.

Close up of the burrito.

"Yes, I am this pretty."

"This bathrobe rocks. I'm #1"

Playtime at Home

" I'm not sure about this, mommy."

"Hey wait - I can fly...sort of."

"Who is that little pink creature in the mirror?"

Trip to Kelowna (Week 4)

October 18 - Trip to Kelowna to see Nana & Grampa Couper. One of many stops along the way...

First morning in Kelowna.

Lily has her "tummy-time."

Nana gets down on the floor to participate in tummy-time.

"I made a present for you, Nana. It's in my diaper."

"Nana's lap makes a great seat."

"Can I have some more milk, please?"

"This looks like a good place for a nap."

The milk-monster has some admirers.

Grampa's turn!

Grampa gets in on tummy-time.
" Whatcha doin' to me??"

"Whatever it is, don't stop....I like it!"

Nana and Lily deep in conversation.

"I love my Nana."

Checking out Nana's hands.

" Hmmmm..what should I do now?"

"Stop taking pictures of me! I can't think!!"

October 20 - Nana's friends come for a cuddle with Miss Lily. Catherine, the next door neighbour, brings a Winnie-the-Pooh ensemble for the little lady.

Nana's friends - Elvin, Carol & Laila.

Last morning in Kelowna - Mommy and Lily finally find a position where both can sleep. For an hour. It was a looong night.

On the road back to Vancouver - checking in on Lily. Happy as ever to be in her carseat!

Taking a rest break at Merritt.

Daddy feeding Lily at another rest stop.

On the final stretch back to Vancouver. Did I mention it was a long night?

Bathtime is Getting More Enjoyable...

In week 4, Lily is getting ever-so-slightly more relaxed. You can't tell by this picture, but she is no longer turning purple and vibrating like she used to.

She definitely prefers being in the water on her tummy.

But does NOT like having her face washed!! Can you tell??

She is somewhat upset after the ordeal....

...but kisses make it better.

Finally - a happy Lily...

...but very glad it is over.

Baba & Grampa Hunter's Visit (Week 3)

October 5 - Baba & Grampa Hunter meet Lily.

"I can't keep both eyes open at the same time!"

"Aaaah....that's better. Yaaaay...a new place to sleep!"

Baba and Lily having a little chat.

Gifts galore for Lily from friends and family in Winnipeg...they required their own suitcase :)

Dylan and his new friend - the "huggabug". The world would be a much happier place if everyone just had a huggabug!!

Tannis and the Original Pancake House Critter. Her...his...it's? eyes are mesmerizing....

A bumblebee bag full 'o treats for Lily!

Baba loves me.

And I love my Baba!

The pink burrito strikes again! Lily finds another comfy *bed.*

"Yaaay! Another person to hold me and love me..."

...and feed me...

...and let me sleep on them!"

"I have already registered several complaints about being in this blasted carseat thingy! I want my pink butterfly swing!"

"Well as long as I'm here, I may as well have a nap."
"I don't want them to think I've forgotten my complaint, though, so I strategically keep a *concerned* look on my face."
"Keeping up the look was hard work, so I think I'll just rest for a bit."

Grampa and Lily inside the skytrain station on the way to go shopping at Oakridge Mall. It is never too early to learn how to shop.

Baba and Lily in the mall, waiting for mommy to try on some clothes.

"Ahhhhhh...at last!! At home safe and sound in my butterfly swing. They finally listened to me!"

Heading towards the seawall.

On the seawall, walking towards Granville Bridge.

"I liked going for a walk, and am NOT happy to be home."
"But maybe some milk will make me feel better."
"Yep!!! I feel goooood."

Happy tummies after a good BBQ.

Joan and Tim come for dinner and to say hi to Lily.

"Don't take away my bottle!"

" Just in case....I'll hang onto it too."

Baba catches the sleeping bug from Lily and they both snooze happily.
Snug as a bug in a rug. Or on a shoulder.
An hour later...
"Oh my, where has the time gone?!?!?!"
Lily wonders why it is necessary to have a bath so often. She really doesn't like being naked all that much.

After much effort, Lily breaks free from her swaddler. She is not happy about it. At all.

Baba, Grampa & Lily in front of the living room window.

"Did I mention I love sleeping??"

Just the girls - Baba, Lily & mommy.

Baba, mommy & Lily.
Our little angel.
The beautiful bag Linda crocheted.
Lily loves the fabulous blanket Baba crocheted for her.
"No mommy, I really do not feel like going for a nap right now."
