Baba & Grampa Visit #2 (Week 35)

In May, Baba and Grampa Hunter came back for another visit! Lily was very excited, and very much enjoyed playing with them.

Baba tries out the *fishing pole* daddy invented. Looks like she's just about caught a Lily!

During dinner one evening, Lily has her eye on mommy's wine!

Lily has figured out how to eat small things with her fingers. Her favourites are steak, chicken and cheese (we can tell because she moans very loudly when she eats them)! Lots and lots of cheese. She is truly her mother's daughter. Corn is not one of her favs, but she eats pretty much anything you put in front of her.

Lily shows Baba and Grampa how she can shake her "Dingle Duck" (mommy's name for it) to make it, well, dingle.

Lily shows Baba how she can use the remote to change the tv channel. Mommy and daddy love it when she does this.

"Hi Grampa! Can you please find me some more toys to play with? I don't seem to have enough here at the moment."

"Why does daddy do this to me?? He must have taken lessons from Grampa Couper."

Like I said....Lily will eat pretty much anything you put in front of her.

Baba goes with mommy and Lily to swimming lessons.

"Look Baba! I can make big splashes with my hands!"

"I can also go under the tunnel! Why does that swimming teacher lady keep looking at me?"

"Hi Grampa! I am getting really good at standing in people's laps. You are one of my favouritest people to stand on."

We all go for a walk and stop to look at a fountain in the park.

Back for our second swimming lesson.

Lily zonks out on her way home from the pool. This swimming stuff is tiring!

"How are YOU doin'??"

Lily thinks mommy's wallet is very interesting...

"Ooooh....a VISA card!!"

"I know just what to do with it!!!"

Lily peruses a real estate brochure. It is never too early to start paying attention to what's going on in the housing market.

Lily reads a bedtime story with mommy and daddy.

"Hi Grampa. Look at me!!"

"I can jump AND make funny faces at the same time!"

Sometimes it takes two people to feed Lily...to make sure the food keeps coming fast enough :)

Grampa takes Lily on one of her favourite adventures - a walk on the seawall.

"Oh, hi!"

Having Fun at Home (Week 34)

The little bug is very excited to be hanging out with daddy in the office.

She has so much fun, in fact, that she passes out eventually.

Peekaboo! Lily likes to go under the coffee table. Unfortunately this sometimes leads to head-bonking.

Mommy and daddy introduce Lily to her "Dora the Explorer" toothbrush.

She figures out how to use it pretty quickly.

Lily likes wearing hats as much as mommy does. Hers is nicer, though, 'cause it has flowers on it. Plus it matches her top. Mommy can't compete with that.

Roaming Lily & Fooling Around with Daddy (Week 34)

"Look where I am!"

Lily is very proud of herself...she has managed to get one leg stuck under the chair.

"Um, could you maybe help me...mommy? Daddy? Anyone?"

Hurricane Lily hits the Couper home.

"Look where I am now!" Lily likes wedging her self between pieces of furniture. We're not sure why. She thinks that wearing pink leopard spots will help her camouflage herself so we can't find her.

Daddy and the little bug are at *work* one afternoon...

Taking a break from work. Hmm...doesn't look much different from when they are at work together!!! :) What a pair.

A pair of cutie pies...

It all makes sense now...THIS is where Lily gets the tongue-sticking-out-thing!!

This time daddy keeps his tongue in.

Ooops - spoke too soon!

"Oh daddy, I think YOU are the silly one!" Silly Dilly.

Happy Mother's Day! (Week 33)

May 9, 2010 - Mother's Day! We take a family walk around the seawall to 2nd beach (just before Stanley Park) and find a nice spot at English Bay under a tree to have a picnic.

Mommy calls her mommy to wish her a happy day, while Lily checks out the clouds.

Lily thinks the whole cloud watching thing is pretty entertaining.

The three of us! Lily didn't want to wear her sunglasses, so she keeps her eyes closed alot.

She hasn't seen grass up close before (spring rains prevented them from getting acquainted until now)...

"Oh, hello! Do you like my hairdo??"

Lily is very gentle with the grass. Surprisingly, she doesn't try to eat it. Mommy and daddy are shocked.

It was a long walk!! Lily falls asleep on the way home and finds somewhere to rest her head. It doesn't look very comfortable, but seems to be working for her.

Mr. Froggie is passed out facedown, too. It was a good afternoon!!
