Food is Fun August, 2011

"Ohai! There aren't enough cute pictures of me playing with, er, eating my food, so here are some more..."

When the spoon fails to deliver the food to her mouth in large enough quantities, Lily gets back to basics with her hands.

Fooling around after a lunchtime bottle.

Kinda showing off for some of Daddy's friends.

Lily searches for a new place to set her milk bottle when she is finished...

...a fine idea, Lily!! U r a funny little bug :)

Nana & Grampa's Visit July, 2011

Getting ready for the day can be very enjoyable when you have Nana to help...

...who knew that putting on socks could be so much fun??

Good morning!!!

Everyone enjoys their beverage of choice.

Lily provides a very subtle message about the fact that she wants to go to the pool...

Luckily, we're all smart enough to figure out what it is, and ultimately Lily goes to splash around with Nana & Grampma Jim.

Auntie Jill's Playdate

Mommy spent a day on the North Shore in mid-July, so Auntie Jill came to play with Lily!

Apparently a lot of fun was had, although it's questionable as to exactly what this picture depicts....

Lily convinced Auntie Jill to blow bubbles indoors, which definitely wouldn't have happened if Mommy was home....

Lily was thrilled!

Bubbles, bubbles, everywhere!!

How many more pictures of Lily playing with bubbles are there, you ask?? Lots and lots and lots....just look below and at some of the earlier postings :)

Visit with Grandma Berta July, 2011

Mommy & Lily went to visit Grandma Berta in Winnipeg at the beginning of July, 2011.
Lily is a good helper! She dries the dishes for Grandma.

Grandma Berta even washes dishes that aren't really dirty, so Lily can help!!

Day #2 - Buchanan School playground - having a snack at the bottom of the slide.

Who knew that empty yogurt containers would make such a great toy? Grandma Berta, that's who!!

Dancing the Grandma Berta dance!!! This is the same one Grandma taught Lily 6 months ago, and she remembered it!

Story time! Winnie-the-Pooh is Lily's favourite while in Winnipeg. Cooincidence? I think not!!

They've read this same book so many times, Lily can practically read it to Grandma!!

Well, she can make the animal sounds anyways :)

All right!!! Lily finished her supper. This deserves a great cheer.

Woo-hoo!!! We finished all our food!

Grandma and Lily take a walk in Stradford Park.

Lily takes her little blonde baby for a swing.

The new children's playground at Assiniboine Park is phenomenal....

...but all Lily wants to do is swing. Go figure!!

She does take time out from swinging to point out some baby ducks to Grandma.

Lily is also impressed with the grass scuplture of Winnie-the-Pooh. Well who wouldn't be, I mean, really??

Grandma and Lily share some Cheerios on a bench. Why doesn't Lily have pants on, you ask? Because she got them wet in the little stream they had at the mini-beach in the playground.

Lily plays with the wnidchimes Mommy got as a gift.

Dinner in Bev's backyard.

Lily is fascinated with Sammy, Bev's largest cat.

She also makes friends with Blue.

She is thrilled when Blue lets her pat him. The most common phrase out of her mouth for the next two days is "Mew mew!! Mew mew!!"

"Happy Birthday, Grandma!!" Lily helps Grandma blow out her candles.

But Grandma helps Lily eat her cupcake.

The two of them enjoy their treats together.

Lily snuggles up with her friends.

Grandma, Mommy & Lily visit with Sarah & Jill and their newborns Ashley & Andrew.

Uncle Adam reads Lily a book. Animals are one of her favourite things to look at pictures of.

Jai shares his playroom and toys with Lily. Thank you Jai!!
